Create Cantilever

Ribbon: Catenary Design > Catenary

This function is needed when support points and cantilevers are not created automatically together. These settings can be defined in the options for the catenary layout. With the default settings, cantilevers are automatically generated. You can edit these cantilevers with the Edit Cantilever function. Cantilevers are displayed in the drawing area as a basic line.

In Sicat Master a cantilever can only exist if a support point is assigned to this cantilever and the cantilever is fixed at a holder. Therefore you have to create these catenary elements before you run the Cantilever New function.

Intention

Create a cantilever.

Instructions
  1. Run the Cantilever New function.
  2. Select the support point with which the cantilever should be connected.
  3. Select a holder for the cantilever. A pole, a structure fixing or a drop tube can serve as such a holder.
  4. Run the Cantilever New function.
  5. Enter the properties in the occurring dialogue box.

Result

Sicat Master generates a new cantilever and associates it to its connection elements.

Note: The name can no longer be changed with the Edit function.
